Patient’s recovery started with immediate relief from the herpes infection. Subsequently, her hemoglobin level and platelet count started to normalize, and her appetite began to improve. In fact, the patient, who was underweight earlier, noticed that her weight also improved during the treatment.

During the treatment period, in addition to regular tests, results of examination of urine samples also acted as one of the tools used to gauge performance of the treatment and dictated any required change in medication and/or dosage.
